The campground is surrounded by quiet woods and hiking trails, offering ample opportunities to enjoy the scenery, view local wildlife, and stretch your legs.

The Rapid City area offers an endless list of recreation. The Black Hills are popular for biking, offering 6,000 miles of trails winding through canyons, pine forests, and up to mountain tops. Rockhounding is also an enjoyable activity in the foothills and scenic limestone cliffs of the Kadoka, Interior, and Fairburn rockbeds, where collecting is allowed. The avid fishermen will delight in the 14 mountain lakes and 300 miles of meandering streams offering bass, northern pike, trout, and other panfish. Other recreational activities include horseback riding, mountain climbing, water sports, photography, and golfing.
